This is the Bickerton TV advertisement from November 1983. It was put together for Bickerton Rowlinson Ltd by Sharps advertising, who subsequently became Dorland (part of Saatchi and Saatchi). This was a brave 1st for a small bike company. Amazingly Bickerton Bikes were able to afford to run this ad on Channel 4 in most UK regions, because the advert was acceptable when many others were not due to the Equity strike at the time. Nice ad, i just acquired 2 of these cute bikes in brand new condition. One even had the protective blue plastic on the fenders. The manual dates show 1978.. 2 brand new 30 year old bikes~! Dean Victoria BC Canada
